Last January, six magnetic separators equipments have been provided to an incinerator plant in the north of Spain in order to recover the metallic material from the waste incineration slag.
Last January, different magnetic separator equipments have been provided to the slag treatment line in one incinerator treatment plan in the north of spain. During March, equipments provided by FELEMAMG have been started up successfully and material recovery rates presented during the preliminary test show a high yield of recuperation.
Separators have been designed to recover ferrous material and non-ferrous material from the treatment plant which is split in 3 different lines according to the granulometry of the slag.
The scheme proposed and provided by FELEMAMG for this instalation is composed by a total of three OVERBAND separators and three eccentric eddy current separator type “SFME-29”. In this way, not only is ferrous material recovered but also non-ferrous material is separated from slag.
Overband scheme supplied includes a SF1-RC model designed to be located along the head pulley and two SF2-RC models which have been placed cross-mounted above the conveyor belt. This scheme has been proposed to satisfy the needs showed by the plant and maximizing the recovery rates presented by the separators.
Inductive separators installed to recover non-ferrous material present a SFME-29 with eccentric rotor configuration. Eccentric rotor separator requires almost no maintenance activities as the service life of the shell is much longer than the service life presented in a concentric rotor shell. In addition, due to the eccentric desing the wear and tear of the belt is also reduced.
Each eccentric Eddy current separator has been manufactured with a different number of poles (10,18 and 32). This differences were designed to satisfy the need of recovery different granulometry in each fraction.
After this starting up, FELEMAMG ratifies again its commitment with the recycling industry, collaborating with the improvement of the different industrial process and taking an active part of the environmental protection.
